A Look Back At 2017
In January, I was trying to adjust to the new norm of mothering two children. We were all sick and it really hit a low when newborn Olive had to be hospitalized for several days with pneumonia.
In February, Olive was given her baby blessing wearing a dress my aunt made from my wedding dress.
I didn't blog about anything in March, but our Steed cousins came to visit and my little brother got engaged.
Taylor turned two in April and we threw a little party for him. I also shared how we decided on Olive's name.
In May, we moved to Ohio for the summer. In our first few weeks, we went to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Great Lakes Science Center, the West Side Market, and Squire Castle. I also wrote a post about trying to enjoy the little moments in life.
Our summer in Ohio continued in June. We toured Kirtland and went to the Cleveland Zoo. Olive turned 6 months old and I made a video for Andrew for Father's Day.
July saw the end of our time in Ohio and we packed in as much as we could. We went to the Cleveland History Museum, the Garfield Park Reservation, the Farm Park, and drove to Amish Country. Our last weekend all together we took a road trip to Niagara Falls and to the church history sites in Palmyra.
Once we were all settled back at home in August, we drove to Utah to spend time with our Steed cousins before Andrew started his last year of business school.
September was lots of playtime at home, but no blog posts. We pulled out our small plastic pool a few times and watched too many movies (mostly Cars on repeat).
In October, I left Andrew with the kids and went to Europe. I spent four days in London and four days in Paris and it was amazing. A few days after I got home, my little brother got married.
In November, the Steed cousins came to visit. We also went to Nevada for Thanksgiving. No blog post documentation.
December was a magical month filled with watching Christmas movies and driving around looking for Christmas lights. Olive turned one, we threw her a little party, and we had all our cousins around for Christmas.
It's fun to look back on all we've done. 2017 was busy and full for us. But now it's on to 2018. It's looking like it will be quite an adventure with lots of changes ahead. I can't wait to experience it all with my little family.
